The East Stadium Boulevard Bridges Replacement Project is the City of Ann Arbor's highest priority transportation project. The East Stadium Boulevard bridges over South State Street and over the Ann Arbor Railroad carry vehicular and pedestrian traffic in an east-west direction, providing one of the few arterial links between the east and west sides of Ann Arbor. A brief dedication ceremony for the City of Ann Arbor's
E. Stadium Bridges Replacement Project will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013 near 1501 S.
State Street, next to the E. Stadium Boulevard Bridge over S. State Street.

Due to seasonal limitations and temperature restrictions, the contractor is not currently working on the project site. In the spring, when weather permits, the contractor will return to the site to complete the remaining items listed below.
- Apply a "finish coat" material on the south sidewalk of the South State Street Bridge
- Repair/replace broken concrete sidewalk and drive approaches
- Touch-up the coating on all of the railings and handrails
- Re-grade the U of M Red Lot
- Apply permanent pavement markings on East Stadium Boulevard
- Apply an anti-graffiti coating product to exposed concrete surfaces along the north and south sides of East Stadium Boulevard
- Perform weekly maintenance to all landscaping
- Install bollards on Rose Avenue near South State Street
OPEN! OPEN! East Stadium Boulevard is open to traffic! As of 4:15 pm EST today, November 14, 2012. Drivers can anticipate single lane closures between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on East Stadium Boulevard for the next couple of weeks. At least one lane of traffic in each direction will always be open. Please drive carefully and enjoy the new bridges!
Crews are on-site performing clean-up operations and applying pavement markings. You will see crews working to normalize the signals and pavement markings at the following intersections: East Stadium Boulevard and South Industrial Highway, East Stadium Boulevard and South Main Street, Eisenhower Parkway and South Main Street. By later this evening East Stadium Boulevard will be open to traffic. Drive safely!

Project Newsletter Vol. 4 November 2012
The project is on schedule and East Stadium Boulevard is expected to be opened to traffic, as anticipated, on November 14th. Construction will continue into May of 2013, with limited work consisting primarily of restoration, clean up, and landscaping.
